Case Study: ComBridges
ComBridges' Biggest Wins:
|
About ComBridgesComBridges is a creative services company whose mission is to "span the Grand Canyon gap between people and technology." As a full-service Website design company, ComBridges provides creative and Internet marketing strategies, as well as the technical services behind them. A few of the services offered include customized WordPress website design, social media marketing, Flash & video presentations and search engine optimization. The Challenge: Needed a More Customizable Basecamp Alternative with Powerful Document Sharing FeaturesBeing a virtual office, ComBridges employees were scattered across the country, making it difficult to collaborate on projects across time zones. ComBridges also had experience using Basecamp but found the interface to be too simple and inefficient for the company's needs. Further, it lacked the flexibility to allow ComBridges to organize their information in a way that best suited their needs, nor was it extensible for when clients desired additional databases to be added to their project management system. The Goal: A Flexible & Open Platform for Sharing InformationComBridges needed a flexible and customizable solution that could organize conversations around various projects, particularly client proposals. The Solution: Using Central Desktop for Document Sharing and Online DiscussionsAfter a very quick implementation process, ComBridges team members began using Central Desktop to share documents and start discussion threads internally and around client projects. Locating and referencing particular documents became an easy task and eliminated wasted time spent digging through emails. They also enjoyed the flexibility Central Desktop gave them including the ability organize their information into file folders in a way that was very familiar and similar to organizing files on the desktop. Additionally, ComBridges used Central Desktop's online spreadsheet feature to track and record client prospects for follow-up purposes. |
"My favorite Central Desktop feature is the overall interface. It has lots of dials, levers and user-friendly file folders that make it more customizable."
